I get asked a lot about publicity; how did I get so much? Why is my name/site everywhere? What did I do? How do I market? Who do I know? When I received yet another email about it, I realised I hadn’t ever really addressed it and so here is the question and my response.

The Chronicles of Girl at Play began in April 2001 as a way for me to chronicle my leaving a successful corporate position to become a self-employed writer.
However, in 2005 as my career changed from writer/artist to an entrepreuner that worked with companies and people from Hollywood to New Media, and this blog changed to share more information, ideas, and links that reflected that.
Now, it's a combination of sharing my love of technology, my passion for community and the humaness of the web, creative discoveries and sometimes just plain good old kick in the pants!
A few notes about this blog: I don't accept ads or paid endorsements. I only mention people, places, or things that I actually believe in or have great experience with. And I don't accept comments but I do read every non-anonymous email and I write back if I can. I have these 'rules' in place because I believe in sharing information, supporting a community, and being trusted with your time and judgement.
