Since 1995 I have been creating and maintaining high-profile, influential online communities because I passionately believe in the importance of content, community, and credibility. Today I continue to leverage my depth of industry expertise and broad professional network to help companies find their footing in Social Business.

As a bona fide geek and early web adopter, my love of technology and enthusiasm for sharing with others drove me to publish websites and seek out online community. That passion translated to over hundreds of thousands of visitors and widespread media attention for several personal projects; in 1996, I became one of the first recognized online influencers when major companies like Aveda, Jones Soda, and Bliss Spa sought my help to evangelize their products in online campaigns before it was a standard marketing practice. From those projects I learned how to help companies connect organically and authentically their online communities and understand the importance of being of use to those communities.

Since then, the tools and terminology have evolved, but the core principles have remained the same. Just within the past five years I have helped companies from start-ups to established corporations to small businesses and artists create community from the inside out and and execute holistic social media strategies that created positive brand awareness, customer care, and ROI.

At heart I’m a creative soul with a knack for understanding and engaging people with the ability to follow and translate business needs and social trends into actionable, measurable solutions for online communities.

While I understand everything inside the box, I like to work outside it; I believe in making the ordinary, extraordinary and dreaming big but working harder. It seems to work.
